Ask the passport
Asks about the product and gets answers from the passport's own data, by text, voice or video.
The law requires a passport. Customers want care advice, repairs, a resale value and the same garment in their size. We handle both: the passport with the data the law requires, in your brand and on your own domain, with the services built in.
Lindex shell jacket, generation 2. Scan it or open it on your phone.
DPP Agent – the foundation for compliance and data handling. Blippa – custom services. Personal data, accounts and logs from other systems sit seamlessly beside the passport, in line with GDPR and other requirements. The return comes from the services on top: repeat purchases via Buy again, second-hand value at resale, fewer support questions via Ask the passport, and reviews before purchase.
Custom services for special needs: Lost & Found, ownership history and owner data, repair logs from external systems, integrations and automation, a fully custom design.
Your passport, in your brand: Ask the passport, rating, reviews, resale value, buy again, find in store, size guide, care and returns.
The data the law requires, checked against ESPR and the standards, addressed with GS1 Digital Link and archived in versions.
Lindex and Eton started with pilot pages. Now the passport is built with the data the law requires and the services built in. Same product, same code on the label. Generation 3 is our sketch of a next step and not finished: a good passport is ongoing work.

Sees the rating and number of reviews, reads them and writes one after buying. All on the brand's own page.

Answers "How happy are you with the product?" with one tap, at the bottom of the passport.

Sees what the garment is worth second-hand, in its condition, and where it can be sold.

Buys the same product in the right size and colour. The button turns grey when it is sold out.

Sees which store has the size, straight from the hang tag.
Some needs do not belong in the passport: personal data, accounts, information only the owner should see and logs from other systems. Blippa services place them seamlessly beside the passport, in line with GDPR and other requirements.
The finder scans the jacket's codeThe kid's jacket left at nursery? Whoever finds it scans the jacket's code. The owner gets a message, and the finder never sees who the owner is.

Previous owners follow the product, if the owner wants. Useful when it is handed down or resold.

Repairers and other systems log events on the product over its whole life: mended, serviced, part replaced.
Workers that fetch, send and act: a ticket in your support system, a message when something happens, data from your business systems.
When the template is not enough: free CSS, a page per audience, such as the owner, the repairer and the recycler.

An early pilot from before today's passport, and the same product as we would build it today. They show the road here, not who the customers are today.

Generation 1
As part of the research and innovation project Systemdemonstratorer för ett hållbart textilsystem, managed by Science Park Borås, Blippa and Nudie Jeans made real tests of digital product passports for three selected products in Nudie Jeans's collection for autumn 2025.
The products were Gonzo Western Shirt Sunburn, Buddy Herringbone Chore Jacket Blue and the jeans Loud Larry Dirt Wash. All three got QR codes attached next to the regular care labels in production, and Blippa's DPP solution was applied to every garment through the scannable QR tags.
The pilot ran in 2025 and 2026 and showed that a collaboration between an apparel brand and a DPP service provider with deep knowledge of the technical setup can deliver a ready-made and extensive product passport, as long as there is sufficient supply chain data, even before the standardised framework for digital product passports was set through the EU Commission's delegated acts.

Generation 2
How we would do it today on DPP Agent.
Start with one product. We build the passport from what you already publish, and show what is missing.
